Her passion for educational innovation, equity, impactful global connections, and teacher/leader development have all found their way into this wonderful organization.  When she's not working on redesigning the educational landscape, she is catching up with friends over brunch, listening to music, traveling, working out, or hanging out with her husband, Michael and her fur child, Kravitz Lenny in their home in Chicago.

Michael Markofski,

Program Design

  • LinkedIn Social Icon

Markofski is a self-proclaimed Educational Vagabond. His career as an educator has taken him to the shores of Brenu Beach, Ghana and the valleys of Kumamoto, Japan. Though, it all started by teaching high school students in rural North Carolina. There he shared his passion for Digital Media by building a program through locally sourced grants. After teaching in Japan, Markofski has settled back into NC and is currently Digital Media Department Chair and 8th Grade Teacher at a Charter School in Sanford, NC. However, he can’t help but use his passion and global experiences to enrich his school community. He coaches an Esports Team (competitive video game playing), rugby, and founded a Japanese Culture and Language Club.  Other places you can spot Markofski besides the classroom: on the field playing rugby, at any arcade that has video games, and spending time with his beautiful wife Kaye who he met while teaching in Japan, and their son, Isaac.
